PROVIDENCE/ ARTISTS’ PHOTO ALBUMS
Artists’ Photo Albums invites practitioners to open their digital drawers, showcasing never-seen-before work, inspirations, and unanswered questions. Through the first edition titled Providence we dive into Lina Choi’s artistic research, which explores bodies of water through sound—focusing on aural imagery and embodied listening.

Science and art for planetary change: “I see it as my “job” as an artist to communicate the scientific findings into something relatable, understandable and emotional, as this is the only way the facts become actionable. If we look at the current problems in our world, the planetary crisis and the biodiversity challenges - we can be really clear. The science is clear, the solutions are here.”

Sustainable architecture with Wallmakers:“As an architect, I cannot afford to be an idealist. Architectural practice today needs to be less about perfection and more about practicality and sensibility. There’s a lot at stake; environmentally, socially, and in terms of overall welfare. It doesn’t seem logical to cling to rigid ideologies without adapting or to adhere to traditional architectural notions without evolving them. Perhaps, as Gandhi suggested, I try to be a 'practical idealist’.”
